Frequent linguistic errors in the writing of Yemeni EFL Arabic-speaking learners

The Yemeni EFL learners are prone to share their knowledge and views regarding what how say. constraints of combining this expertise have hampered learners’ writing success. Those obstacles can cause make errors. Error Analysis (EA) Surface Strategy Taxonomy (SST) were used analyze linguistic causes also investigated. This research a qualitative process style use case study approach. Ellis’ five-step EA procedure was followed essay data each comprising 100-350 words or more written by 20 eighth semester Arabic-speaking at the Department Education, Sana’a University, Yemen. They purposely selected as subjects. It noticed that omission most common error detected in writings. Overall, form accounted for 58.71% 118 cases out 201 cases. categories number marker, verb-tenses articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreements, pronouns. preceded addition (20.39%), incorrect formation (15.92%), word order (4.97%).
